Six Senses Laamu Sets Down Best Practice for Dolphin Interactions
2013/6/18 view:
The Six Senses Laamu is implementing a code of conduct for dolphin watching in order to protect the local spinner and bottlenose dolphins. The resort is the first in the Maldives to create such a code. The resort’s procedures conform to the Green Globe 21 standards: Energy Conservation, Waste Reduction, Nature, Island & Reef Protection and Social Responsibility. These policies are renewed annually to ensure they are always current. The code is the responsibility of Rachel Lambert, the resort’s Resident Biologist, who has gained a range of Biological Science Degree at University of Oxford and Masters in Marine Biology of Environmental Management at University of London.
Six Senses Laamu offers Sunset Dolphin Cruises at $99 plus taxes per person.
